These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Shipping & Delivery Policy, constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "User", "Customer", or "Patron") and Kalyana Vastra governing your access to and purchase of handloom heirlooms from our online storefront.

2. Scope of Handloom Merchandise & Services

Kalyana Vastra is an authentic Indian luxury craft house specializing in the curation, documentation, and sale of:

• Certified Pure Silk Sarees: Including Kanchipuram bridal silks, Varanasi Katan and Jangla brocades, Uppada Jamdani, Paithani, Chanderi tissue, and Tussar silk heirlooms.
• Hallmarked Zari Textiles: Genuine gold and silver dipped zari weaves certified with Silk Mark India labels.

3. User Eligibility & Capacity to Contract

Use of this website and placement of commercial orders is available only to persons who can form legally binding contracts under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Persons who are "incompetent to contract" within the meaning of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, including un-discharged insolvents, are not eligible to transact on this platform.

When registering or accessing your patron account, a secure 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) is dispatched via verified SMS gateways to your registered Indian mobile number.

5. Pricing, Goods & Services Tax (GST), and Payment Processing

All product prices listed on the Kalyana Vastra storefront are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR / ₹). Prices are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST, currently levied at 5% on pure silk handloom sarees under HSN Code 5007) unless explicitly stated otherwise.

While we make every endeavor to provide accurate pricing, technical or typographic discrepancies may occur. If an item is listed at an incorrect price due to a system error, Kalyana Vastra reserves the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund of any sums charged.

6. Handloom Craftsmanship & Natural Characteristics

Every saree featured on Kalyana Vastra is woven by master artisans on traditional pit and shuttle handlooms. Unlike mass-manufactured powerloom textiles, handloom sarees naturally feature subtle weave characteristics:

• Minor slubs, thread irregularities, and texture variations inherent to organic mulberry silk yarn.
• Artisanal zari border bindings that celebrate human hand-knotting rather than computerized stamping.
• Subtle tone variations resulting from natural and organic vat dyeing batches.

These distinctive traits are not defects; they are the cherished hallmarked signature of authentic handwoven Indian textile art. Every product ships with a genuine Silk Mark India authentication QR tag.

7. Intellectual Property Rights & Trademark Protection

All content published on this storefront—including but not limited to high-resolution product photography, atelier drape videos, brand logos, typography, visual layouts, weaver journal stories, product descriptions, and software code—is the proprietary intellectual property of Kalyana Vastra Handlooms and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999 of India.

No patron or third party may reproduce, duplicate, scrape, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of our visual imagery or trademarks for commercial gain without prior written authorization from our directors.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Kalyana Vastra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our storefront or delays caused by third-party logistics partners, natural force majeure events, or civic strikes.

In all circumstances, the aggregate financial liability of Kalyana Vastra for any claim arising out of an order placed on this site shall be strictly limited to the actual amount paid by the customer for the specific product in dispute.
